On the Wednesday night my parents flew down from the Sunshine Coast so on the Thursday morning they could be with our big 3 year old when she woke up and opened all her presents, she was so excited and got totally spoilt!
We then spent the day down at Manly Beach or as Ocea calls it the' Ice Cream beach' as there is a Ben and Jerrys Ice cream shop there (best ice cream ever!) We all walked around got some chips for lunch Ocea and I had a swim then sat on the beach building sandcastles with Grandma while Grandpa was trying to put our youngest princess to sleep in her stroller!
While we were building sand castles who was to come up out of the water and pick up his towel and keys and flash us a big smile.....Matty Johns!! I was a bit excited, but wasn't sure if it was him, so I signalled to my dad who wasn't far away to check it out and sure enough it was him! (don't you love a celebrety sighting - even if it is a minor one!) Then it was to Macca's for Birthday dinner, and home for Cake! I think our gorgeous girl had a great day!
The girls had fun hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa and I loved having them around, I miss living close to my parents!
Saturday was the big party, where all of Oceas little friends came to help her celebrate! I think the party was a huge success as when she was going to sleep she told Rudi and I 'This was the best party ever!'
The Saturday afternoon we went to help Rudis brother Orson celebrate his birthday which was like a Country Fair. The kids loved it and so did we!
Tired little criminals!
On Sunday night we had to say goodbye to my mum and dad :( we weren't on our own for long though as I had some friends from Adelaide come to stay on Tuesday, but I think I'll save that for my next post.
Ok so this was a monster post and I promise I wont wait this long to post again!
By the way, the little girl has been doing a lot of this - she is moving everywhere!
