Daddy's little girl
I love how much Ocea loves her dad! They are so alike, in so many ways. From little character traits, to things that she and he find funny, to little faces she pulls. She adores him and I love how much he adores her right back. I love the special friendship that they have.

Animals, Rides and Showbags......
........ It must be the Easter Show!!!
Monday morning we headed in to the easter show with Rudi's brother and his family. We all caught the bus from Orsons (rudi's brother) Which Ocea and Harper just loved, but it was just a warm up for all the real fun that they were about to have!
We saw animals, Ocea, fed goats and sheep, saw baby ducks, cows, chickens, rabbits, dogs, she was absolutely in her element! and again I had to save a couple of animals from Harpers deathly grip!! but she was having a ball with all these new sights and sounds!
I just love spending time with my family like this, seeing the girls experience and react to new things, we had so much fun!
Thank you Kawasaki Showtime FMX for the free tix!!!!!
End of day and fast asleep (sitting up!) must have been a good day!

Harper and a Tiger
Our friend Leah called this morning to invite us to some free school holiday fun at one of the local community centres, with a petting zoo, face painting, craft, sports, sausage sizzle all sorts of fun. The girls had a great day!
Here's a few photos of todays fun! (beware I was a little camera happy today and couldn't narrow the photos I wanted down much!) - Thanks Leah for inviting us to come with you guys!

The Transformation begins....
...Happy Harper doesn't know what's about to hit her.....
..........A Tiger arghhhhhh!
(I asked if she wanted to be something pretty instead, she refused and said she wanted to be a tiger with BIG teeth!)
After a good sleep - up for some more fun! - Bubble fun!
Love this pic of Osh, not sure what it is
I didn't even have to do any of the hard work - Thanks Ariel!
Harper was so excited to play in the car!
'check out my sweet ride!'
I LOVE my girls!!!!

Sunny Sunday
To say I Love the beach is a massive understatement! I absolutely adore the beach! The only thing is......the closest beach is an hour and a million road tolls away!
Sunday it was Videos of General Conference at church and Rudi had to work, so I thought I would keep the kids home and watch the videos at home on the computer. There's no way I would have been able to hear a thing if I took the kids on my own.
So I decided to take them to the beach to play on the sand (enjoying Heavenly Fathers Creations)in the morning to tire the girls out so I could watch the videos in the afternoon.
Just look at these girls playing! they had a great time and Ocea didn't even complain that she couldn't go swimming!
So Sunday was an awesome day full of Sunshine and messages from Prophets and apostles.
I love days like this!

First Day
Yesterday was little Oceas first day of Pre-School! She was soooooo excited. Everyday this week she has been asking 'Is it Pre-school time yet?!' So when the day finally came she was beside herself!
She looked so cute with her little backpack on, and I was so sad, I know this is only Pre-School but still my little girl is growing up way too fast for my liking!
I stayed for maybe 15 minutes, she was LOVING it! so I bent down gave her a hug and kiss and said goodbye, and all I got was 'bye' back! not even a mummy please stay a little longer!, Just 'bye'! I obviously was feeling the separation more than she was!
Driving home from Pre-school was a little sad without my chatterbox in the back.
At the end of the day, i went in to pick her up and was greeted with Ocea running towards me, arms stretched out, with a big 'Mummy, Mummy, I missed you'. - best feeling! but she had a great day and woke up today asking if it was a pre-school day again!
Our other gorgeous girl was enjoying this Pre-school business too and having a great day, with just one on one time and lots of attention! she is crawling absolutely everywhere, when I say crawling I mean commando style! She is just the sweetest little baby and although I lose one baby 2 days a week, I'm looking forward to spending lots of time with my other one!

Living in the moment
Today while my girls were sleeping (which they normally never do together!) I thought I'd sit and eat my lunch watching Oprah.
The episode was about a mother named Stephanie Neilson from Utah, you may have heard about her. In 2008, Stephanie was in a serious plane crash with her husband and was burned on 80% of her body. She was in a coma for 3 months and has undergone multiple surgeries, skin grafts, and continues to have painful treatments. She is constantly in pain, But she has the most positive outlook on life and motherhood! I've been following her Blog for a little while and find it so uplifting.
I don't know about you, but I can look at motherhood sometimes as a bit of a grind. I often find myself wanting the game we're playing or the book we're reading to be over, so I can get on with all the tasks on my never ending list. but after watching Stephanie today I have been inspired by her to be a better mother and to be, play, and live in the moment with my kids.
Today I am so grateful to have a healthy working body, I am grateful that I can pick my kids up and hold them, I'm grateful that I'm able to make dinner for my family without any difficulty, I'm grateful that in the morning the only reason I have to not want to get out of bed is because I'm tired and not for the fact that as soon as I get up I'll be in pain. I'm grateful that If I need to, I can get ready and be out of the house in 20 mins, I'm grateful to have amazing examples of motherhood around me, so I can continue to be inspired to strive and be a better mother.
So from now on I'm going to be sitting and playing with my girls, and living in the moment and not getting distracted by the not so important things. Acknowledging what a blessing and privilege it is to have these two beautiful girls to lead and guide through life. Because what could be more important than spending uninterrupted time with these two girls!

sleep......
Ok.... so as cute as this little girl is, she turns into an absolute nightmare at night!
She will seriously wake up about 5 times and will only go back to sleep after I feed her and it is driving me CRAZY!!!!!! and making me very, very tired. This all started to happen when she turned 6 months. I've tried dummies, rocking her to sleep, letting her cry it out for a while. but nothing works and this little night owl will only be fed back to sleep!
Lucky she's cute and in the morning when it is actually time to wake up, she gives me gorgeous smiles like this one......
.....and all is good again!
I just love this girl to bits!

The Day Has Come....
I can't believe it! How did my little girl go from this baby girl with massive personality
..... and enrolled in pre-school! That's right you read correctly.... Pre-School! we headed out today to look at the last pre-school on the list, and finally we found the one that suited us.
I was a little worried that Ocea would be shy and nervous and not really in to it, but I couldn't have been more wrong. As soon as we walked through the door she was off playing and making new friends, painting, playing hairdressers, having a great time, and didn't want to leave.
Harper had a great time there too, all the little pre-schoolers were fascinated with her and she was loving all the attention!
One of the reasons I love this pre-school so much is it is the same one that Rudi went to, and also....wait for it.... the same teacher, can you believe it!! Needless to say Rudi is pretty excited for Ocea too!
I'm so excited for Ocea to be starting pre-school and can't wait to see our little girl grow and develop as she starts this new schooling adventure in her life!
Stay tuned for her first day!
And just for good measure here's a pic of my littlest princess.
